Seventeen Small Business Success Stories (1991, 1992) |
The
Business Library, 310p, paperback
If you go to my ‘interviews’ link, you will
see that I have retained either on tape or on paper approximately
1000 interviews that I have conducted. Now you know that,
you can see that sooner or later someone was bound to suggest, ‘Why
don’t we publish – say – the 17 best ones’.
Subjects include artist Ken Done, toy designer Tony Barber
(and former guitarist in Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs),
Linda Langton of the Ink Group, Debbie Fields, ‘Mrs
Fields’, Mrs Field’s Cookies franchisor as well
as a milk bar owner, a flower shop owner, a display specialist,
an accountant who specialises in small business, a country
store owner, a wheeler/dealer and so on…
People who will enjoy it:
Small business people and people
researching aspects of small business in the late-1980s/early-1990s
Available from:
• Your local library. If they haven’t got it,

Raving on:
I was always disappointed that is was relatively easy for
me to have my business interviews published, whereas some
of my more interesting interviews remain unpublished. For
example, a two-and-a-half hour unpublished interview with
Eric Joliffe still remains on my shelf. And because the Southern
Flyer went broke, my 1981 Slim Dusty never made it to press.
Hey, it might still look good in a book of ‘17 Great
Interviews’. Any takers? |
