The Secrets of the Beechworth Bakery – The Beechworth Bakery Cookbook (2001, 2004, 2008)

BAS Publishing , 184p, paperback
Co-authored with Tom O’Toole and Matthew McLaurin

Secrets of the Beechworth Bakery is Tom O’Toole’s recipe book for the Beechworth Bakery.
Matthew McLaurin is the guy who appears on the cover. He had to ‘break down’ the recipes and make them all work in a kitchen, because while Tom certainly knows how to make 100 pies, he doesn’t know how to make one.

People who will enjoy it: Cooks.

Available from:
  • Your local book shop.
  • Call on one of the six Beechworth Bakeries (Ballarat, Beechworth, Bendigo, Healesville, Echuca, Albury), have a pie and buy a book. Or get one from Tom at one of his regular speaking venues or else contact www.beechworthbakery.com.au
  • Your local library. If they haven’t got it, ask for inter-library loan.
  • Or contact the publisher direct: Bas Publishing, PO Box 2052, Seaford, Victoria, 319
Raving on: If you want a good recipe book – or if you’re a Tom O’Toole fan – I recommend you snap up this book, because I can’t see it being republished in this format.
The consumer’s are getting away with a bargain!. It’s a full colour book for only $25. I bet the next publisher who takes it will see ways to cut costs, We’ll see…
